As I walked into the room, with total determination on my face, I knew today was a good day. I got my pointe shoes on and started warming up at the bar. After that I gracefully walked to the center of the room. There as I pulled my foot out into second position and then into fourth position, I was totally convinced I would do a double turn on pointe. I pushed my foot off the ground and placed it below my knee, one turn gone. My mind started churning just spot one more time and you got it. Two turns done. I put my heal down and came to a stop. That's when I noticed my ballet teacher had been watching. She started clapping and cheering. I was so happy, I thought I might burst. I did it! All by myself, I did it!
